Despite several statistics like this, the game doesn't do a very good job at explaining it's mechanics and has a rather steep learning curve.

You are allowed to name all of your troops.

Battle animations look nice, although they don't feature any backgrounds. They can be turned off if the loading times become too annoying.

Movement of your troops is largely affected by different terrain types.

As long as your leader is at a castle, he can summon monsters and hire troops.
